Dedicated to the Diagnosis, Management & Treatment of Pericardial Disease

The Pericarditis Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating and spreading awareness of pericardial disease.

Trusted Resources. Supportive Community.

Our Pericarditis Alliance team is comprised of national and international leaders in the pericarditis field, the healthcare field, and pericarditis patients. Together, we work to share research and provide education, and support for pericardial patients, caregivers and healthcare providers.

What is Pericarditis?

Pericarditis is inflammation of the pericardium, the thin fluid-filled sac surrounding the heart. The pericardium holds the heart in place and shields it from infection; there is a small amount of fluid between the heart and the pericardium to ensure there is no rubbing between them.
